Business:

Secretary rotation confirmation (David)

Approval of Minutes for previous meeting (Michael / Bri) -Elizabeth Motioned. Rita Seconded. Unanimous approval.

Treasury Report (Hallie) – no updates - Michael gave report about DDEI continuing to support live captioning for meetings.

New Joining Member Acknowledgement (Michael) – Vivian Introduced and welcomed.

Announcements / Updates:

• Regents Institutions Disability Summit recap & comments – members shared comments and reflection – Kudos to T.M.’s session on digital accessibility.
• ADA celebration & Sen Harkin visit (Bri) – no updates
• Adaptive rock-climbing clinic December 2^nd + 3^rd, call for volunteers (funding request) (Bri) – Paradise Sports (12 certified during training) – hosting clinics thereafter as open times and events – starting with Students and then opening to community – MV to help send blurb to gain interest ($295/certify person) - funding sponsoring, poster, table (request = $500 to cover one certification + equipment) – CDA voted to approve funding request. Elizabeth and Gianna open to volunteering.
• Stanley Art museum update! (Elizabeth) - auto doors now available on ALL doors/floors – kudos to Elizabeth for advocacy and giving tour for Bri’s class
• CDA November meeting & Semester get togethers. – Propose for November 17 – approved Planning - Propose $100 for December gathering – Gianna motioned / Rita seconded – unanimous approval.
• CDA Budgeting & funding requests due to IESI October 31^st - Michael to turn in the CDA budget by date – Bri proposed for setting aside funds for ADA celebration
• Hey Buddy, I'm Bill Exhibit open until December 19^th at the Main Library! Gallery website information and visit planning (https://www.lib.uiowa.edu/gallery/)

• I [Brad] invite anyone to come visit the gallery on the north side of the 1st floor of the Main UI Library. We will have a virtual exhibit upcoming on the website.
• We have a virtual talk on zoom on Friday Nov 10 called Hey Buddy, we are the Curators. https://www.lib.uiowa.edu/news-and-events/event/?id=129051

• Elizabeth invited members to send her updates to website (personal bio and photos)

• Bri announced planning ahead for Reel Abilities film fest with FilmScene
