The Council on Disability Awareness is one of the seven Diversity Councils at the University of Iowa. We partner with these councils and other groups on campus and in the surrounding community to advance the inclusion of people with disabilities. The Council membership includes people from a broad range of disciplines and backgrounds, with and without disabilities, aligned in a common spirit of advocacy, community, and equity.

Our Council members are engaged in the community, using their voices and lived experiences to advocate for disability rights, inclusion, and social justice. Among our members are three podcast creators and hosts:
